You scanned. Now meet the farm behind your food.

The cheese in your hands was made on our farm in West Wales using milk from our own goats.

No anonymous milk supply. No mass production. Just Gayle, Michelle, our herd and fresh soft goat's cheese made in small batches each week.

Our soft goat's cheese has also received a Great Taste Award 2026.

Real goats. Real food.

✶ ✶ ✶

You should know where your food comes from

Most food labels tell you what is inside the packet, but very little about the animals, people and place behind it.

At Capra Cymru, every tub starts with goats we know and care for ourselves. Their milk is turned into cheese here on our farm near St Clears in Carmarthenshire.

By scanning this code, you have come straight to the people and goats behind your food.

✶ ✶ ✶

From our goats to your tub

1. Milk from our own herd

We milk our goats here on the farm, so we know exactly where the milk used in our cheese comes from.

2. Gently pasteurised

The milk is pasteurised before cultures and rennet are added to begin turning it into cheese.

3. Slowly drained

The curds are allowed to develop before being carefully drained to create our soft cheese.

4. Finished by hand

The cheese is salted and, depending on the variety, blended with its flavouring before being packed into tubs.

5. Made fresh each week

We make fresh batches every week rather than producing large quantities to sit in storage.

✶ ✶ ✶

The goats come first

Our goats are not hidden somewhere at the beginning of a supply chain. They live here with us and are at the centre of everything we do.

We take a welfare-led approach to farming. Our kids remain with their mothers for their first eight weeks, and decisions about growing the business must work for the goats as well as for us.

Knowing where your food comes from should mean knowing something about the animals behind it too.
